The U.S. government is entering its third week of the federal shutdown as lawmakers continue to negotiate toward an agreement on federal spending for the new fiscal year, which began on Oct. 1.

As of Oct. 1, the U.S. government has failed to reach a spending agreement in time to avoid a shutdown of the federal government.

As a result of financial planning by a É«»¨Ìà working group, Institute operations are not expected to be immediately affected by a federal shutdown.

Leadership continues to monitor the situation and is ready to implement strategies to help ensure continuity in the event of a federal government shutdown.

The Institute continues to monitor the situation in the event that a partial federal shutdown occurs after the extended March 22 deadline.
